A. River Simulation Model Facility:

  • River Model Channel (Hydraulic model test for rivers with gentle slope):

Gradient of Channel – 1/100, Upside to Downside. Water discharge can be adjusted up to 40 lps by using water valve according to selection of experiment.

  • Current meter calibration cart with electric cable

B. Debris Flow/Landslide Simulation Model Facility:

  • Debris Flow Channel: Hydraulic model test for rivers with steep slope (debris flow model test, bed gradient <25°)

It is a narrow type channel, with 0.5 meter wide, 0.3 meter height &the gradient can be changed up to 25°. The basin channel, where debris is collected, is more wide & 4° in gradient.

  • Land Slide Channel:

Landslide model test is generally used to study the relationship between ground water and landslide movement on tension cracks. The landslide channel dimension is 1.0 * 1.0 meter. Sample is filled up to 0.3 meter height with 1.0 cm bentonite (a clay type). Gradient can be changed up to 25°. The demonstration can be done by using supporting structure & without using structure.
